FLUORESCENT TRACING IN PROCESS CONTROL
FLUORESCENT TRACING IN PROCESS CONTROL

Inhibitor chemicals are added to prevent scaling and fouling in heat exchangers, condensers and boilers. Controlling the concentration of inhibitor chemicals is essential in controlling the chemical costs maximizing the efficiency of the process. Flourescent tracing is a simple concentration measurement technique that can be used in concentration control. This seminar looks into the various conventional methods by which the inhibitor chemical concentration is maintained and the application of fluorescent to the same. Controlling water treatment chemical costs and maximizing the efficiency of the process in which they are involved, is a central theme in today?s manufacturing environment. When chemicals are used in integrated process fluid and cooling / boiling water systems, correct dosage is not only critical to the Company?s bottom line, but also essential in maintaining the integrity of the systems they are designed to benefit. Fluorescent tracing technology is found to be effective in controlling the cost and the quality in such systems.
